Video Description: Brist is a village and small harbour in the cove of the same name on the coast. It is situated in the extreme south of the Makarska littoral, on the main road Split Dubrovnik, 8 km north of Ploce. Brist is a picturesque place for pleasant and peaceful vacations. Special attractions are olive-groves and sources of potable water, as well as a series of pebble coves. It is known for its mild climate (the "vruljska" bora is much weaker here). The coast around Brist features a number of coves (Na Ploci, Blatnice, Pod Pecu, Slakovac, Pakljine, Smrdeljac, Litnoga and Zaborci). Sports and recreational opportunities include water sports or hiking tours on Biokovo (Viter). ). Economy is based on farming, viticulture, olive growing, fishing and tourism. Several late Baroque mansion structures were built close to the sea in the 18th century. The new parish church of St. Mary was erected in 1870, close to the sea and in the neo-Romanesque order; next to it is also the monument to Father A. Kacic Miosic, a work by I. Mestrovic.
